Markham Wedding Chapel – Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the turnaround time for photos and videos?

Our typical turnaround time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event.

2. How many photos will we receive?

You can expect between 60 to 150 photos per hour, depending on your schedule and coverage.

3. What is included in the video package?

You will receive a 15–30 minute edited video and a 1–2 minute highlight reel. Length may vary depending on the event.

4. What time should we arrive before the booked time?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled ceremony time.

5. Is there a kitchen if we bring our own catering?

We offer a small kitchen for reheating and a large fridge for storing cakes, desserts, and drinks.

6. Can we choose the décor for our ceremony?

- Micro Ceremony: Pre-set décor only.
- Mini Ceremony: Choose from Blush Pink or Garden White.
- Deluxe Ceremony: Custom options available for décor style and color theme.

7. Can we take photos after the ceremony in the studio?

Yes, as long as it is within your booked time.

8. Is there a guest waiting area?

Yes, guests are welcome to wait in our Lounge Room.

9. Is there a getting-ready room?

Yes, a makeup station and changing room is available for the couple.

10. Do we need a marriage license?

Yes, unless it is a symbolic or vow renewal ceremony.

11. Is the chapel wheelchair accessible?

Yes. A parking spot is available directly at the entrance and the washroom includes a support bar. Please inform us in advance to reserve the space.

12. What is your rescheduling/cancellation policy?

- Payments are non-refundable.
- You may reschedule at no charge, subject to availability.
- If canceled, payments can be used as credit at BloomingOne.ca or GalleryOneProduction.com.

13. Is there a coordinator on-site?

Yes, coordinators are available for the Mini Ceremony and Deluxe Ceremony packages.

14. Can we bring personal décor like picture frames?

Yes, you're welcome to bring personal touches!

15. Can we play a slideshow or video?

Yes. A 64” TV rental is available for $60 + tax.

16. Can we display signage or welcome boards?

Yes, you can!

17. Is a rehearsal included?

No. A rehearsal with the officiant can be added for $200 + tax. We can also connect you directly with the officiant for consultation.

18. Is the chapel pet-friendly?

Yes!

19. Are there any music or volume restrictions?

Please keep music and audio under 70dB.

20. Can we toss petals or confetti?

Yes! A $50 + tax cleaning fee applies.

21. Can we extend our rental time?

Yes, additional time can be added for $200 + tax per hour.

23. Can we do a first look before the ceremony?

Yes, absolutely!

24. What happens if we run late?

26. How do I get a marriage licence in Ontario?

You can apply for a marriage licence at the Markham Civic Centre. Here's how:
Visit the City of Markham's website
Fill out the online application form
Book an in-person appointment to present valid ID and pay the fee (currently $167)
The licence is valid for 90 days across Ontario

27. What happens after signing the marriage licence?

If you're using a licensed Ontario officiant, they will submit your signed marriage licence to the government.
You can expect to apply for your official Marriage Certificate online in 8–12 weeks via ServiceOntario. The certificate will be mailed to your home.
